Is there such a thing as Coaching Burnout?

Today, I want to reflect on my many coaching sessions with the question: too many? As I have the feeling, I do suffer from something like coaching burnout. I am a twofold certified life coach. Yet still, I have my doubts about the whole coaching business. Maybe I miss the right mindset. Maybe I was expecting too many wonders. Maybe I was not putting in enough work. Maybe it is time to move on for me?

When I miss my daily practice, I feel it. I feel it in my body, but even more so in my everyday communication with the world and myself. When…

The One with the Ghosts

Vignette on Spiritual, Motherhood, and Life My first memories of visits by ghosts go back to me being around three or four years old. They came at night when my sister Selma and I were lying down in our shared room. Selma always slept at the top of the bunk bed. Selma was fast asleep. I…

The One with the Jump

We are on fall break. I decide to take the kid and their friends to a trampoline park. On the tram they already jump up and down in anticipation of being in the air for the rest of the afternoon. When we arrive at the register I decide to go…

The One on Sensual Feminism

Vignette on Feminism, Motherhood, Dogs, and Art. Written By Dorothée King I am a professor at the Art School of Basel. Today, I have to teach for three hours, the sensuality of feminism. I did not do my art today

Today I would like to give you a few thoughts that hopefully will inspire us all to see our “outcomes” in a more relaxed way and to get into an artistic-creative-mediating activity that feels right. That we don’t do because just, or because we have a certain function now, or because we have to talk ourselves into it, or because we want to post something on Instagram again, but because we just want to live well.

Wellbeing at the Museum Starts with Us

I am convinced, that well-being at a museum has to start with the well-being of the people working for the museum. The people who are the core of the museum. If we are not feeling well, how are we supposed to make others feel well? “Happy mom, happy kids.” Shall be translated to “Happy Museum teams, happy visitors.” Talk held at the MuseumNext: MUSEUMS, HEALTH & WELLBEING SUMMIT, 31 January — 2 February 2022
